In a glossy magazine there is a place for only one creative editor! A rowdy-dowdy and very talented Rita is going to take this position. But intellectual and pedantic Elmira is also after this job, ready to do anything to have this precious position. Their boss puts a condition: the one who finds out what the Nobel winner, chemist Naryshkin, closed from the press, is working at, will win. Rita, pretending a pedantic spinster, gets a job of a housekeeper in his house. Elmira relies on female charms and tries to enchant the chemist. Rita does not like it at all, as, to her horror, she falls in love with the young scientist, with whom she is gradually making friends. Having learned (with the aid of Rita) that Elmira is a journalist, the chemist breaks up with her. Elmira returns the favor: she betrays the housekeeper at the reception. And then the information about the invention leaks into the press. And how Rita can prove to the chemist now that she has nothing to do with it, not to mention what she loves him?
